Behind the green door
An ooooh-so-young, Marilyn Chambers, plays an innocent girl who is kidnapped and taken to a bizarre sex club where she is first prepared then ravished in front of an increasingly orgasmic audience. The concept itself draws you in, but it´s the action that hooks you. Depicting highly ritualistic sexual fantasia, its three key scenes are infamously taboo-breaking. A group of lesbians fondling and going down on one girl broke every boundary in the 1970’s, whereas black stud, Johnny Keyes, dressed in a white, genital revealing, cut-away leotard is a startling sight for any generation, let alone in 1972 when the shooting of interracial sex was completely risque.
Chambers was then the Ivory Soap Girl for Proctor and Gamble. When she appeared in this now legendary porn film, they deemed her whiter-than-white image somewhat sullied and decided to recall all products containing her image. Needless to say, the scandal helped sell a lot of porn, quite a lot of soap and shot Chambers to stardom. Made by the Mitchell Brothers, this is the first ever pornographic feature film and with a budget of $60,000 it grossed over $25 million!
An edgy story, unimaginable sex scenes for the time and enough artistic content to reach a wider audience make this is an absolute must-have for the discerning connoisseur's collection!
